Charles Sickles

Charles Sickles is Executive Vice President, Head of Distribution at Advisors Asset Management (AAM).

In this role, Charles is responsible for creating and executing the sales strategy for AAM’s full suite of asset management investment solutions, as well as directing the field activities of AAM’s national external and internal wholesaling teams. Charles joined AAM from BlackRock, where he served as Northeast Divisional Director for the Merrill Lynch channel. Prior to BlackRock, Charles served in a variety of senior leadership roles over the course of a 25-year career at Merrill Lynch, including his final role as National Sales Manager for the Managed Solutions Group. Charles began his career in the financial services industry in 1989, and has obtained the Series 7, 66 and 24 licenses in addition to being a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) since 2008.

Brian Austin

Brian Austin is Senior Vice President, Western Divisional Sales Manager for Advisors Asset Management (AAM).

Brian entered the financial services industry in 2001. After starting as a retail financial advisor, Brian transitioned his career to the distribution side of the Asset Management industry in 2006. Since then, he has held roles as an internal wholesaler, hybrid wholesaler, and for nearly 10 years as a territory-based wholesaler with Oppenheimer Funds and then Eaton Vance. In 2018, Brian joined AAM as the Director of Internal Sales where he led a team of more than 30 sales professionals. He has experience with many product vehicles including: Mutual Funds, Exchange-Traded Funds (ETF), Unit Investment Trusts, Separately Managed Accounts and private placements. Brian enjoys the challenge of being more strategic in the sales process to leverage all of the firm’s resources.

Brian is passionate about constant improvement, personal and professional. Brian received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 1995. Brian enjoys spending time with his wife and their two daughters. When not with family or at work, Brian enjoys endurance athletics. He has completed eight marathons, six ultra-marathons (100k, 50mile, 50k) and several triathlons, including Ironman Texas. Brian holds the CIMA Certification administered by the Investments and Wealth Institute and taught with the Yale School of Management. He holds the Series 7, 24, 63 and 65 FINRA Licenses.

Jonathan Boring

Jonathan Boring "JB" is Senior Vice President, Divisional Sales Manager at Advisors Asset Management (AAM).

With over 30 years of industry experience, Jonathan Boring joined Advisors Asset Management from Guggenheim Investments where he was the Eastern Divisional Sales Manager. He formerly worked at Merrill Lynch as a Managed Solutions Specialist and player coach. Prior to Merrill Lynch, Jonathan worked at Smith Barney as Head of Products and Distribution for ERISA plans and also in the Smith Barney Asset Management division. Jonathan got started in the industry in 1992 as a financial advisor with Prudential Securities. He is a CIMA certified investment management analyst as well as an accredited investment fiduciary. Jonathan attended University of Maryland, majoring in Finance. He also spent eight years in the United States Air Force.
